Here at the Gamer Cat Cafe we are Pokémon brainwashed. That means that Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket has a strong hold on us and a new pack introduction is basically a holiday.
Enter the latest pack in Celestial Guardians released on April 29, 2025.
And since we focus on all things cats here at Gamer Cat Cafe, we of course will be going over the cat cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket so far. This article will be updated with each pack release. Cards are in order of release.
As far as what makes a cat, here's the criteria
It's a cat ฅ(• ˕ •マ.ᐟ
Cat-like behavior
Large cats count, i.e. lions, tigers
Cat pun/wordplay in name
What can exclude a mon from cat categorization: too humanoid, too much like another animal.
Example: Mew is considered a cat. Mew moves like a cat, has triangle ears and the name is purrfect. Mewtwo on the other hand strays away from cat territory with all the humanoid features and mannerisms. The Eevees are also a tough line to nail down as cat or non-cat since they have a lot of fox-like features. FYI, we're working on a definitive list of cat Pokemon. Stay tuned.
And now...all the cat cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket
