Opinion: Why Sprigatito is the Best Cat Pokémon

Since the franchise’s inception, Meowth was often called the best cat Pokémon in the series, but after Scarlet & Violet, it can be argued that Sprigatito is nyaow (/ᐠ ˵> ⩊ <˵マ) the cutest and brightest pocket monster in that furry subset.
It's cute light green fur, beaming pink eyes, and fluffy tail help make it one of the best cat Pokémon.
Sprigatito is one of the first Pokémon you’ll meet in Scarlet & Violet as it's one of the starters. Immediately, you may be charmed by its adorable little nose and big smile as it greets you.
You can immediately tell it's grass-typing due to its color and unique appearance. It has a leaf-like symbol on its skin and furry, green ears with a deeper, bush-like green color. It even has whiskers that look like ferns growing from its cheeks.
One of the cutest elements of a cat is when it is making biscuits on soft surfaces. Sprigatito goes one step further with its tiny pink paws, creating a sweet aroma around itself. According to the official Pokémon YouTube channel, its enemies “lose their will to battle” as they sniff Sprigatito’s scent.
It is also great when a cat desires attention from its owner. According to the same video, it wants “your full undivided attention” as it smiles at you with its adorable fangs. It gets sad when you give other Pokémon time. Thankfully, it actually looks after itself without needing a trainer 100% of the time; it likes to wash its face to avoid it getting dry in the sun.
I knew when Sprigatito showed up in that debut trailer for Scarlet & Violet, that it would be one of my favorite Pokémon. Its cute beaming eyes make your heart melt, and part of what makes the series so special is that you feel like you can have a cat, despite not having one in real life. Sprigatito is a fantastic cat Pokémon due to it's adorable paws, unique green look, and a smile that makes your day better. It's ameowzing!
